Re: Cooper to say HI!
what! Which vet you been to? Actually you don't have to do blood test if your Cooper show no sign of unhealthy. You just need to top up another vaccinations. Meaning, Cooper first vaccins is invalid, so the second jab counted as the first. Now Cooper took the third jab, it is the second. So get him another jab. Both my girls first jab are taken before 6 weeks, what I did is just get 3 more vaccins done before they are 20 wks old.
Re: Cooper to say HI!
May I know what does it means if the 1st jab was taken around 5 or 6 weeks? y need to get 3 more vaccins after tat? Not that total 3 jabs enough?
Re: Cooper to say HI!
jab taken b4 5-6 weeks are considered not valid. by the way, how much does the blood test cost? if copper were to top up another jab then he cannot come party jor?

Re: Cooper to say HI!
first jab is to be taken after 6 weeks (42 days) after the puppy is born, any jab before that consider invalid. A puppy need 3 vaccinations in the begining. The final third jab best to be taken before 20 weeks old. Which means, the second jab is to be taken in between 6-20 weeks. If the third jab taken after 20 weeks, it is consider late protection.
Re: Cooper to say HI!
sigh....he went to Animal Medical Centre in SS18 subang...she also didin take note...i dunno how much is the blood test...she didin mention..and she is asking me to go back after 2 weeks to test blood to ensure his condition. Now i also blur...She claimed tht she did not know Cooper's DOB until i told her...
I dunno if Cooper still can come to dog party anot...i shall the vet or shall i change to another vet? Advice needed here...

Re: Cooper to say HI!
i tell you my Amos case ya and this is what i did
I bought Amos from a breeder. This guy i think he wanna save money lah so he give the 1st jab himself. so i do not have vaccination card even though i knew he already done his first jab. So when i brought him to vet, Amos vet lecture me abit, say no matter what must get the vaccination card so that he know what injection taken before. after i called up the breeder n he said no card. So actually i'm not 100% sure Amos took his 1st jab, in the end i brought Amos to take 2 jab only :p The vet didn't asked me to take another jab.

Re: Cooper to say HI!
hhmmm Sinv, my case simlilar like yours but i have the report card with me. Because i went back to the same VET. In her record, they did not fill in any of the puppies DOB and even the detail page in the book is BLANK until my 1st visit there which is the "2nd" jab for Cooper onli they fill in everything for me.
The vet told me that if there is a need to cooper to take the "3rd" jab, she will do it but after she taken cooper's blood for a re-check.
Sigh, poor mummy to Cooper.

Re: Cooper to say HI!
HeHe ... yenlu , quite rite ~ I do lotz research especially when those babies born ... Hav lotz stuff like they are imune within the 1st 5 or 6 weeks when they actually taken the mothers milk once birth within certain period of time ... Thats the reason y they do not need to vaccin until they are 5 to 6 weeks ... lol ... if i not mistaken la ... once they all go new home ... my knowledge return to uncle google oledi .... wahahahah ....
Well , to me i think its fine to do check up , u r on the safe side ... And of coz ... top up vaccin i guess not a big problem though ... Dun worrie larr , elsie , copper will be fine ... no worries ...
Juz wait n c .. and let nature take its course ... HeHe ... =P

Re: Cooper to say HI!
If I were you, I will consult another vet. If do a blood test maybe much more expensive then taking a 3rd jab. How old exactly is Cooper now? When is his birthday? And what is the date that he took his previous jabs? Let's do a calculation.
Re: Cooper to say HI!
Yenlu...ok here it goes
Cooper was born on 23 february, did his 1st jab on 29 march, 2nd on 19th april, then previously was on the 10 may.
The blood test, they wont charge me because they themselves overlooked this matter. The vet told me tht if there is a need to get the 4th jab, then onli they will charge me...
