260th & 261st MKA All Breed (DOGS) Championship Show

who have thought of entering MKA show?

dun think MKA accepts 1 eyed puppy. hehehe kinda defeats the purpose.
even if Seven was not handicapped i wouldnt register her for MKA.

for some reason it feels like animal cruelty to let shih tzu go compete.

erm.. MKA only accepts dog with MKA certified =X

that's another reason... hahahha

i dun even know where Seven's parents came from, i bet not even my aunt knows, nor seven's mother's previous owner knows

but i do have a question though...
the MKA certified blood line must start somewhere right?
how did they start it? i mean, how do you certify a dog?
with what standards and how?

ok lets say how if we would like to create a new breed.

First we mix A + B, and come out with AB.. then get a few As and a few Bs and come out different batches of ABs and mate among the ABs for at least 7-8 generations.. so that their gene/behaviour/trade/temperament/blabla is fixed, and then they bring up to AKC and lots of judges come and decide whether to include this breed into the purebreed list. This is just super summary, the actual procedure, I don't know.

So when they get this breed accepted, say Mini Schnauzer, they will have their very own first cert. From that first few, they became ancestors of our puppies today. Dog with AKC (america) cert imported to malaysia will automatically be recognised by MKA. If you breed 2 MKA dogs, you can apply MKA for the puppies. So come this fella got accident babies, and he will never be able to register them with MKA anymore, and there goes on non-MKA pure breed dogs.

You must acknowledge MKA when your MKA dogs mated, within a time frame (need to check) and let them know the puppies are born.. also within a time frame. If you never tell them your dogs mated, your puppies cannot register under MKA.

a little difficult to understand the standard where they finally call an ultra mix breed a certified purebreed...
but yeah i get the idea
