Pumpkin stop dogs from eating poo poo?

I come across this when I was searching ingredients for homecook food. I have heard people recommending adding chilli oil or pepper into the poo, so the dog will scare tasting the poo. Read the following for another alternative!

Worth a try if you have tried multiple methods to stop your dog from eating poo!

We have a six month old Boston Terrier. We have noticed him eating his own stools and read on the internet that feeding him canned pumpkin would help prevent this. I have been giving him one teaspoon twice a day, and it seems to be helping. He is 9lbs. Is this the right dose for a dog this size? Kathy.

Yes, one teaspoon twice a day is the right dose for your 9 lbs Boston.
If you want to give him more, that's ok - it's safe as it's only
pumpkin. You can try a higher dose (1.5 teaspoons twice a day) for a
few days and see how he goes.

Another method of preventing your dog from eating his stools is to purchase a specific product from your pet store that puts a bad taste in the stools (you'd think it already tastes bad!), and then this hopefully breaks his habit.

If possible, remove his stools from his access as soon as possible so he does not have the chance to eat them.

I came across some answer for how to cure dog constipation....the answer is by giving pumpkin....but some ppl also found out it doesn't work on their dogs....

Constipation kah.. hahah I got giv Sushi eat pumpkin nowadays.. no prob.. i dunno wor, she nvr play poo, nvr constipation even b4 I giv her pumpkin.

everytime he poo dy he will purposely kacau u or even purposely wake u up to jus pick up his poo... =.=

so he poo 7am oso need to wake up dy =.=

Seven has the same habit... XD
but she doesnt wake me up that early anymore, she only poo when everyone's awake and out of my room, it's good coz my room no toilet.

jenny...Cooper also like tht...each and evrytime finish poo....he tak suka his own poo...pengsan!
