Male or Female? And your REASON?

You have a male or a female dog or both? Why do you choose to have male/female?

I have 2 females myself. I have always wanted a female even before I went to the breeder. I was afraid of the male marking (though I don't really have a lot knowledge regarding this when I first buying a dog). When I was visiting the breeder house, I have a chance to see Miki's dad's peeing skill that make me laugh He was peeing at a pillar, and spinning around it

The second thing is, the breeder tells me, female is more obedient comparing male. I can't really tell if female is more obedient comparing male, but I don't have a male here to compare! For those who have both gender may give some opinion?

male is very disobedient and yes male likes marking around!!!!my bobo is the best example and he is still marking around my house now...a few drops here and a few drops there...i think male reallyneeds more time to train him become a good dog..

Amos only do marking if i bring him outside field to pee

I choose Male cos i scare of female dog on heat and i see my friend male dog very obedient and smart. nv pee at home. can go upstair room's toilet to pee sum more. If bring him outside pee, after pee he wait there for people to wipe his 'p' only come down. There was once where my friend's father forgot to wipe him, he stand there for half n hour waiting people to clean him. Then i believe male dog can be trained to be obedient.

i chose male for the same reason as sinv also
As im staying inside just a room when im off to college, so i cant be handling the heat process well and so i got a male..

regarding the obedient side, i also think male is trainable..
i can say that i've managed to train mikey pretty well although sometimes he is a big hard in the head and needs some dicipline lesson from time to time...but overall i can say that if the puppy have been trained since young, then i don think they would develope much bad habits anyhow as they've been taught not to do so...

but if male and female stay together,male really makes u guys frustrated!!become a pervert...

The reason i choose male because i like male more than female,just that simple.
Obedient? so far i think lucas still obedient, he is changing baby teeth to adult teeth,so he like to bite things, but right now he obey my 'NO' command. conclusion is trainable or not,is depends on owner. If siad female more tame than male,that facts i will agree.

actually male and female are the same

no preference actually but females squats during pee..though males also can squat..but since my 1st dog is a female so i'd get a female for the 2nd and coming 3rd, etc etc etc...

LOL.. I don't think all male dog is like that, I have heard an owner complain that the male dog she has don't go after the female she had :p

depends gua,maybe the male doggie is really a good doggie,my bobo is definitely a pervert!!!luckily pinky knows how to protect herself,if nt...mati!!

both female or male shud be ok..
i haf both but my female's spayed.
the female is more home-ly/lazy
where as the male's a very good guard dog

If I am getting more dogs in the future... I guess..... its still FEMALE!!

I like female dog. i got 2 male dog and 1 female dog, to me I still prefer female dog.

By the time I bought boyboy, i wanted to have female...But there is only 1 female available and I am worry about female dog "on heat". So at last i choose male. I don't even know about the marking habit of male dog...after that i only realize but all this while boyboy squat to pee pee...luckily...maybe i didn't bring him out to learn it from other male dog...hehe

well i will say FEMALE !

1- because when i was a small kid , i saw my friend's male dog like to HUMP ppl's leg
2-i saw my friend's dog like to pee with one leg up
3-Just a feeling ..i like to own a female dog ..if future i will get a 3rd dog ..i will buy female too XD

hmmm....actually male and female is the same ..another reason is since my 1st dog is a female , so second dog will be female ..

and so the third one will be female also!

lol actually i bought male because me and my family thought of breeding them, since we already had a female MS, then might as well get a male one xD

but then i would preferably go for male also because i'm afraid of the "on heat" period >_< and actually males can also pee like female dogs also what ;P just train them and they wont simply mark everywhere

till now copper still pees like female one xD
